Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using the JTGD Bursaries platform. By creating an account or continuing to use the platform you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

"Platform" means the JTGD Bursaries web application and all related services operated by the Organisation.

"Organisation" means the entity that operates this Platform.

"User" means any person who registers for or accesses the Platform, including learners, sponsors, reviewers, and verification officers.

"Personal Information" has the same meaning as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account or clicking "Accept & Continue" you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a legal guardian.
  • You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
  • You have read and accept the Privacy Policy.
  • The information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Platform Use

The Platform is provided for the purpose of administering bursary and scholarship programmes. You agree to:

  • Use the Platform only for its intended purpose.
  • Not share your login credentials with any third party.
  • Not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems.
  • Notify the Organisation immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.

4. Application Process

Submission of an application does not guarantee an award. The Organisation reserves the right to accept, decline, or waitlist any application at its sole discretion. All decisions are final unless a formal appeals process is specified by the relevant programme.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and software on the Platform remain the property of the Organisation. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is". The Organisation makes no warranties regarding availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, the Organisation shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

7. Termination

The Organisation may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may request deletion of your account at any time via the Data Subject Request (DSR) feature in the Platform.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you by email and you will be required to re-accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Platform.
